BISYOC Fundraiser Concert in Germany

Published on Saturday 23 April 2016

On Sunday 6th March, as guests of 'Cook's Singers' (MD Josephine Cook-Müller), a BISYOC Brass Ensemble directed by our Trumpet Tutor, Stephen Altoft, together with the Black Forest Percussion Group (Lee Ferguson and Beni Tredup), performed a programme of music by Duke Ellington and others, to raise money that will help applicants facing financial difficulties to take part in BISYOC.

The event was held at Kläsles Eventhalle in Breisach-am-Rhein, Germany, who donated the hall, and was sponsored by the Jugendmusikschule westliche Kaiserstühl-Tuniberg.

Thanks to Friederike Dörffler (trumpet and Flugel horn), Janik Ruschulte (horn), Roman Lüttin (trombone), Stefan Anna (tuba), Lee Ferguson (vibes and congas) and Beni Trudup (drum set) and Steve (trumpet) for devoting their time. Stefan Anna (Tuba), who is a professional percussionist, was a participant in the percussion section at BISYOC on the very first two courses! Many thanks to Josephine and Steve for organising this.
